Minnesota State Job Bank Senior Manager - Public Financial Reporting in St. Paul, Minnesota

The Senior Manager - Public Financial Reporting position is a member of the Public Financial Reporting Group. The position reports to the Director, Public Financial Reporting. The Manager II is responsible for the preparation and/or review of all aspects of the company's public financial reporting process. This includes assuring financial results are accurately reported to the financial community and corporate financial management, promoting an understanding of financial results including responding to inquiries on a timely basis and assuring the company complies with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and other mandated accounting regulations. This position has one direct report. What You Will Do: Work directly with the company's external auditors, corporate accounting, investor relations, international accounting, treasury, risk management, HR and payroll departments. Manage SEC reporting, including preparation of MD&A and review of financial statements, footnotes, XBRL, for the quarterly 10-Q and annual report. Supervision of month-end close journal entries and corporate account reconciliations as assigned. Support the quarterly balance sheet and cash flow analysis. Supervision and review of annual benefit plan financial statements. Supervision over Accounting Supervisor (Senior Associate) position, including review of monthly share-based compensation, derivative, and equity journal entries and reconciliations. Completion of annual performance reviews of direct reports. Completion of special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting 8 years of accounting experience and/or SEC reporting experience (10-Q, 10-K, Proxy, etc.) Supervisory experience Immigration sponsorship not available for this role Preferred Qualifications: CPA Recent Public Accounting experience Experience in interpretation and application of technical accounting rules and regulations Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to work independently Ability to analyze complex financial matters Good accounting and financial aptitude Exceptional PC and Excel spreadsheet skills Must be detail oriented Experience with Hyperion Financial Management consolidation software and Excel retrieve Annual or Hourly Compensation Range The base salary range for this position is $130,100.00 - $195,100.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
