Ever-Green Energy is looking for a team member to support the mission by managing the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, overseeing monthly reconciliations, and ensuring appropriate accounting controls and procedures are applied. These services are provided to multiple companies to which Ever-Green Energy is a service provider. Minimum requirements to be successful in this role: Four-year accounting degree Five plus years related experience. Understanding of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures in accordance with US GAAP. Good communication and customer relations skills Ability to meet assigned deadlines Ability to work independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives. Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results. Excellent computer skills, especially with spreadsheets and accounting software; Word, Excel, and ERP system experienced. Preferred requirements: CPA designation Familiarity with federal, state income tax, and not-for-profit reporting. Public accounting experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end generation of externally and internally reported financial statements. Present financial results to leadership and management teams. Respond to inquiries regarding financial results and special reporting requests. 2. Coordinate with Staff Accountants to maintain and balance subsidiary accounting systems (cash, fixed assets, accounts receivable, accounts payable, utility billing) by verifying allocations, posting reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies. 3. Prepare accounting policies and procedures; monitor the implementation of these policies and procedures. Communicate and help non-accounting staff understand accounting policies, procedures, and simple accounting terminology. 4. Assist in the annual budget process for systems for which Ever-Green Energy provides O&M services. This includes setting up budgeting templates, allocations, working with O&M managers to complete budget templates, and providing analysis on cost fluctuations. 5. Lead the annual audit process for O&M operations, including financial statement preparation, work paper preparation, and working closely with auditors and system owners to complete audited financial statements and footnotes. 6. Prepare supporting documentation for federal, state, and local income tax reporting for corporation (1120) and non-profit (990) entities. 7. Prepare financial models for development projects and company long-term financial projections. 8. Implement allocations between various companies including but not limited to payroll, shared expenses, and shared fixed assets. 9. Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential. 10. Maintain current on industry best practices and general job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. 11. Perform other duties as required or assigned. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity considerations. The salary range for this position is: $77,100 to $93,000. This range reflects the base salary for this position.
