Jabil Maintenance Tech III - Journeyman Electrician / HVAC Technician in St. Petersburg/Tampa, Florida

This is a 2nd Shift opportunity from 3pm to 11pm Monday - Friday offering shift differential pay and paid over time!

SUMMARY Under limited supervision, responsible for repair, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities. Be a creative and proactive contributor, focused on continuous improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform electrical, welding, painting, plumbing, and/or carpentry repairs.

  • Calculate electrical loads.

  • Review plans, create a materials list and cost estimation for future electrical requirements.

  • Install electrical panels and associated circuits.

  • Troubleshoot and conduct periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required.

  • Follow Preventive Maintenance Instructions and ensure that the records for such are properly documented.

  • May perform or assist in the installation, relocation and reinstallation of new and/or existing equipment.

  • May perform or assist in the repair and maintenance of support equipment that includes but is not limited to, air compressors, air dryers, vacuum systems, HVAC, and DI water Systems.

  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.

  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least five to seven years experience.

  • Electrician License, Journeyman or HVAC License EPA Certification required.

  • Must know single phase and three phase circuits and work with voltages up to 480 volts. Be able to measure, bent and support EMT. Be knowledgeable with tools and materials of the trade. Repair lights of various voltages and service facility circuits throughout the buildings. Must know how to use test meters to test for live circuits.

  • Personal computer operation in a Windows environment (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Use of specialized maintenance tracking programs and building automation systems.

    SKILLS One or more licenses in the below listed is required.

  • Licensed electrician

  • Licensed HVAC technician

  • Licensed plumber

    PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Lockout/Tagout trained

  • Scissor lift experience

  • Electric pallet jack experience

  • OSHA 10 and 30

  • Variable Speed Drives experience

  • 25 hp air compressors experience

  • 25 hp vacuum machines experience

  • 25 hp dryers experience
