Job Posting: Professional Maintenance Lead

Job location: Sterling Heights MI (ONSITE)

Payrate: $34.68/hr

Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Maintenance Lead to join our team at an automotive Assembly Plant, responsible for manufacturing the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango. As the Professional Maintenance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in directing skilled trades employees to meet the objectives of the maintenance department in a fast-paced, high-volume, unionized manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale initiatives to ensure the efficient operation of the maintenance department.

Drive throughput improvements and coordinate professional maintenance and breakdown maintenance activities.

Provide coaching and mentoring to team members regarding World Class Manufacturing techniques for problem-solving and corrective action implementation.

Possess a general level of technical understanding related to maintenance, time-based maintenance (TBM), condition-based maintenance (CBM), and dynamic maintenance (DM).

Influence key performance indicators (KPIs), including mean time between failure (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR), while maintaining equipment at basic conditions and implementing continuous improvements.

Address throughput, run-to-run, and downtime related issues with equipment in a production environment, supported by the Professional Maintenance Specialist (PMS) where applicable.

Drive waste reduction efforts through the implementation of methods/processes of World Class Manufacturing (WCM), including Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Professional Maintenance (PM), Quality Maintenance (QM), Focus Improvement, and People Development (PD).

Requirements:

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Demonstrated troubleshooting problem-solving experience.

Goal-oriented self-starter with the ability to lead teams effectively.

Ability to coach, mentor, and develop skilled trade employees.

Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

100% onsite availability.

Must Have:

Experience with Automotive Paint Systems.

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience leading Skilled Trades in a UAW environment.

Minimum of 3 years of Industrial Automation Experience.

Some form of continuous improvement lean manufacturing experience.

Ability to work any shift.
