POSITION:Assistant Principal for Career, Technical and Adult Education (FT)ASSIGNMENT:Department of Career, Technical and Adult EducationQUALIFICATIONS:•NYS SAS/SBL Certification•Strong communication/interpersonal skills•Experience with a diverse student body, preference to be given with CTE experience or background•Experience with high school students preferred •Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environmentRESPONSIBILITIES:•Actively promote diversity, equity and inclusion practices throughout the agency•Continuously engage with a myriad of professional development and self-improvement practices•Assist Principal with all operations of the school building•Work as part of the leadership team to create a warm, welcoming, and affirming work environment•Conduct observations and evaluations for all staff•Build trusting relationships with staff, students, families, business, and industry partners and other stakeholder groups•Assist in resolving student disciplinary issues•Collaborate with Principal on needed professional development for all staff•Serve as a resource in curriculum, assessment, and instruction•Create, share, and role model the mission and vision of the agency•Thorough knowledge of Part 200 Regulations, graduation and Career Education requirements•Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to high achievement, social-emotional, and whole child development of all students•Support guidance, work experience and support staff to ensure all students reach programs and professional goals•Manage all components of industry assessment procurement, delivery, and data management•Actively engage in the data collection, analysis, and goal setting for the building and for the department’s Strategic Plan•Assist with the health and safety of the building operationsSALARY:$132,805.00START DATE:July 1, 2024Studies show that women and members of some groups are more likely to underestimate their qualifications for a position.
