ABM Industries HRIS Analyst in Sugar Land, Texas

Overview

ABM is hiring an HRIS Analyst to support our HR system, teams and processes. Applications include Oracle HCM Cloud along with other 3rd party human resources applications. The HRIS Analyst is responsible for participating on project teams and executing projects through the SDLC. You’ll work to gather and document detailed requirements for business needs and translate those into technical specifications. You will collaborate with other team members including end users, business analysts, architects, or web services teams to determine functional and/or technical solutions and designs. You will also get the opportunity to use and build your technical skills executing your technical specifications writing PL/SQL, utilizing other languages specific to the applications and working with Oracle BI tools, Conversions and ongoing interfacing of our systems in is crucial for seamless user experience and you’ll be working with teams planning, developing, testing and executing those as well.

This is a Hybrid Work Arrangement! (In office 3 days/week: Tue/Wed/Thu) in our Sugar Land, TX office.

Essential Functions:

As the HRIS Analyst, you will also be responsible for support of these applications using tools (i.e. myOracleSupport, or project documentation) and research skills to resolve issues.

Other responsibilities for the HRIS Analyst include:

  • Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of the Oracle Cloud HCM platform, including rollout and testing of updates and enhancements. Complete both hands-on configuration of the platform as well as management of outsourced configuration resources.

  • Provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem-solving techniques including the ability to find root cause and corrective action for given problems.

  • Provide subject matter expertise to HR systems end-users; develop and maintain functional system configuration documentation and processes.

  • Consistently demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work documentation and organization.

  • Responsible for employee data analytics, including but not limited to routine and ad hoc data analysis; i.e. headcount, retention, turnover, and vacancy.

  • Serve internal customers with a high level of service by proactively identifying systems improvements.

  • Applies ABM’s Mission Statement to Make a Difference and exhibits enthusiasm for and a desire to see ABM succeed.

Qualifications- Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or another relevant field.

  • 3 years relevant experience in an HR Systems role.

  • Demonstrated experience working with, testing, and configuring Oracle Cloud HCM.

  • Demonstrated experience with the technology in one or more of the following areas: Human Resources, Compensation, Benefits, Recruitment and Performance.

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

  • Project management skills; ability to balance multiple projects concurrently in a high paced environment.

  • Strong experience using Microsoft Access and Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy; inclusive of data mining and ad hoc reporting.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.

  • Understand HR systems, processes and databases including but not limited to Oracle EBS/HCM Cloud, JD Edwards

  • Some experience with PL/SQL (Programming Language/Structured Query Language) or other programming languages.

  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a large team.
