Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting the operational efficiency of the plant. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Maintenance Technician (direct hire)
Location: Sumter, SC
What's the Job?
Install and maintain production equipment, including emergency and unscheduled repairs.
Troubleshoot and repair control devices and motors ranging from 110 V AC to 4160 V AC.
Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipment, including necessary adjustments.
Read and interpret work orders and equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
Weld and repair various types of equipment using light to medium gauge metal.
What's Needed?
Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude with an understanding of PLCs.
Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring devices effectively.
Accurate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to work a 12-hour 2-2-3 pattern shift, including every other weekend (days or nights available)
