ManpowerGroup Maintenance Technician in Sumter, South Carolina

Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting the operational efficiency of the plant. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician (direct hire)

Location: Sumter, SC

What's the Job?

  • Install and maintain production equipment, including emergency and unscheduled repairs.

  • Troubleshoot and repair control devices and motors ranging from 110 V AC to 4160 V AC.

  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipment, including necessary adjustments.

  • Read and interpret work orders and equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.

  • Weld and repair various types of equipment using light to medium gauge metal.

What's Needed?

  • Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude with an understanding of PLCs.

  • Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring devices effectively.

  • Accurate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Must be able to work a 12-hour 2-2-3 pattern shift, including every other weekend (days or nights available)
