You will be leading a team of data infra and machine learning engineers to build a foundational data platform that combines and unifies all textualized member profile, activity and graph data across LinkedIn into a canonical format in a privacy and policy compliant manner with capabilities of massive scale data preparation, nearline and offline serving, quality control and data selection. You will be responsible for ensuring high quality, privacy aware data for next generation machine learning training and evaluation.

This role will be based in Sunnyvale, CA.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct leadership for a team of 5-10 engineers.Collaborate closely with various other teams (Product, Applications, Infrastructure, Vertical AI teams, etc.) to align on initiatives, leveraging existing solutions, and ensure optimal collaboration.Participate in key technical and design discussions with Technical Leads in the team.Operate best engineering and scientific practices & processes to ensure productivity of the team and drive faster iterations via A/B experiments.Attract world class talent and provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of related industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions1+ year(s) of management experience or 1+ year(s) of staff level engineering experience with management trainingBA/BS in Computer Science or other technical discipline, or related practical technical experienceHands on experience in data engineering, data modeling and machine learning
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager7+ years of hands on experience in data engineering or a related disciplineMS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics or related fieldsExperience building enterprise grade distributed systems and/or data platforms

Compensation Disclosure:
LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $164,000 - $268,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
