The Amazon Devices team designs and engineers high-profile consumer electronics, including the best-selling Kindle family of products. We have also produced groundbreaking devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV, and Amazon Echo, and the Astro personal robot. What will you help us create?
As an ASIC Methodology / CAD engineer you will create and maintain automated design flows that improve the efficiency and design quality of the finished ASIC products.
Key job responsibilities
Develop automated flows for improving the SoC design process
Build robust, scalable tools that help verify and validate our hardware and software solutions
Efficiently execute to requirements/specifications provided by internal engineers to improve design workflows
Build/deploy data-management tools pertaining to regression and coverage data; execution metrics
Evaluate new tools/versions to aid productivity improvements in ASIC flows
Maintain and improve/modernize existing infrastructure across a spectrum of functionality
Deliver high quality code
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
Experience writing C/C+- Strong Python coding skills
Familiarity reading and writing Verilog or SystemVerilog
Experience using git for revision control
Basic Linux experience
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Prior experience in developing run scripts for ASIC development in a production setting
Experience with UVM
Familiarity with formal verification techniques
Familiarity with the TCL programming language
Familiarity with bash scripting (or other shell)
Experience with HTML and basic web page development
Basic Linux administration experience
Strong written and verbal skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
