Key job responsibilities

In this capacity the Reverse Logistics Regional Business Manager will: 1) Lead the global and regional strategy for Reverse Logistics and participate in strategic business reviews with Reverse Logistics suppliers 2) Lead the sourcing and selection of one or more Reverse Logistics suppliers in alignment with the overarching Reverse Logistics strategy and within the Return Services framework. This includes overseeing contract management, adherence to agreements, delivery performance, cost control, and social responsibility. The Reverse Logistics Business manager will be a strong advocate for the suppliers within the organization while also providing critical feedback to drive continuous improvement.

The RL Regional Business Manager is a forward-thinking and analytically adept leader who excels in developing and executing strategies to drive both immediate and long-term business impact. With a deep understanding of business and product operations, this role demands the ability to operate across various functions and influence a wide range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong business acumen and expertise in leveraging product operations to achieve exceptional growth within tight deadlines.

The position requires building collaborative, long-term relationships with a holistic business perspective, rather than focusing solely on individual products or suppliers. Responsibilities include a solid grasp of reverse supply chain operations, third-party supplier outsourcing strategies, manufacturing models, and consumer electronics product lifecycles. Effective judgment is essential for addressing issues and driving change. Additionally, the role demands excellent relationship-building skills to engage, influence, and negotiate with both suppliers and internal stakeholders Sr. Executive levels.

The Regional Business Manager is the strategic and execution relationship owner for the Amazon Devices Reverse Logistics suppliers that provide screening and repair, test engineering design and development, planning, and procurement services in the Amazon Devices Reverse Logistics space.

The Amazon Devices Reverse Logistics team spans the globe from China, UK, EU, and the US (Kentucky, New Jersey, Virginia, Sunnyvale and Seattle). The team leadership is composed of long term Amazonians with deep knowledge and experience in the consumer electronics returns space and a passion for Amazon's peculiar ways. Basic Qualifications

  • Professional Degree (Bachelor’s degree)

  • 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience with a proven track record of executing the strategic vision

  • Experience converting insights into strategy and communicating complex ideas clearly and logically in written communication

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience working within cross cultural teams, leading projects/initiatives across a matrix organization and driving toward consensus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills

  • Proven analytical / decision making and problem-solving skills

  • Advanced Degree (MBA, M.A., M.S., or another post-graduate degree)

  • Experience presenting to executive leaders and a variety of internal and external audiences

  • Experience leading and negotiating complex negotiations

  • Results oriented with strong bias for action, even in ambiguous situations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
