JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 20800 POSITION: Network Administrator II, IT054, 100%, Academic Staff, Renewable, 12-month Appointment, one vacancy STARTING DATE: As soon as possible. POSITION SUMMARY: Conducts routine operations and modifications of a network including secure connection of wired and wireless devices monitoring, diagnosis, notification, and recovery for varied network issues. Provides some training for clients and staff. UW-STANDARD JOB DESCRIPTION DUTIES: Monitors, diagnoses, and resolves routine networking issues. Facilitates connectivity for wired and wireless devices, installing hardware and software. Provisions access, analyzes, implements, and reviews security requirements for compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. Develops and implements network management and monitoring applications. Communicates network failures or degradations to stakeholders. Provides training and support for clients and staff. Recommends documentation and procedure changes for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness. Other Duties: Complete required trainings and professional development as assigned. This position is currently ineligible for H1-B sponsorship. A qualification for this position includes independent eligibility to work within the United States upon hire date.
