Job title: Supplier Quality Engineer
Your role:
Work with Commodity Management to develop and deploy the supplier management strategy for the commodity group/region.
Supplier Quality Engineering capability assessment of potential new and existing suppliers for maintaining an optimized Forward Procurement List of best-in-Class quality suppliers within the commodity group/region.
Collect and analyze supplier quality performance date from business and go to the Gemba at suppliers to identify trends/gaps/opportunities/risks.
Develop and maintain a quality risk register with risk triggers, mitigation and contingency plans for supplier base.
Develop, organize and lead supplier quality improvement projects in collaboration with multiple business and supplier sites.
Connect with supplier key leaders to promote/influence a culture of quality improvement
Work hand in hand with suppliers to train, develop and guide them toward strong quality engineering competencies.
Actively manager suppliers to ensure that they meet aggregate Philips Quality Performance targets.
Project manage Strategic Supplier Development, improvement, execution, monitoring and control (PDCA) as part of the performance monitoring process.
Support effective root cause analysis of defects at supplier to prevent recurrence on complex concerns.
You're the right fit if:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Masters preferred.
Fluent English/Mandarin in both oral and written.
5+ years above in quality, prefer to have experience in Medical device or Automotive industry.
Demonstrated experience with low volume & high mixed manufacture process -PCBA & High-Level-Assembly.
Knowledge ofproduct/process quality management.
Strong project management skill, data analytical skill, Problem solving skill and presentation skill.
Effectively communicate to numerous stakeholders include senior management, other business groups, internal and/or external stakeholders.
Must be willing and able to travel to supplier locations.
Certified Lean Six Sigma black belt is preferred.
VDA 6.3 Certified auditor -would be an advantage.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
