This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Human Resources/Career Services with the coordination of various functions of the department. The Human Resources Coordinator's job entails providing guidance, support, and coordination in the consistent and effective application of policies, procedures, and practices of the Human Resources department. Primary areas of coordination are Employment Services - Faculty & Staff, Career Services, Employee Training, Monitoring of Human Resources Internal Controls, Data Analysis, Employee/Retiree Benefits, and Website Management.Assists Director in the coordination of faculty and staff employment activities to include review of job postings for consistency with EGSC job descriptions; create job posting for multi-incumbent positions, assists managers/supervisors with postings and applicant hiring process; coordinates advertising for social media, print ads, and completes follow-up; maintains applicant data in compliance with Affirmative Action standards; schedules applicant interviews; conduct reference checks, transitions job postings through the online applicant tracking system; provides support to search committee during the selection process.Coordinates on-boarding process. Ensures all required pre-employment checks and onboarding documents are complete and approved; verifies I-9 documentation; coordinates hire date with manager/supervisor and coordinates with Human Resources Coordinator III regarding data entry of the new hire record in PeopleSoft and IT Network Requests. Prepares items for employees first day of employment.Maintains administrative faculty and staff job description database.Coordinates communication of benefits; monitors reports and compliance.Coordinates off-boarding process. Prepares termination paperwork; conducts exit interviews; notifies appropriate offices of terminations; retrieves EGSC property, coordinates with Human Resources Coordinator III and Director regarding payroll activities and benefits. Obtains verification that IT has disabled user access to EGSC accounts.Coordinates and updates all Human Resources and Career Services web pages, flyers, and brochures.Assists with IPEDS, AAUP, Great Colleges to Work For, census surveys, and other surveys as needed.Maintains education and training programs for employees.Coordinates yearly Employee Service Recognition Program.Assists with yearly administrative faculty and staff evaluation process.Scanning and indexing of personnel file and other identified files.Coordinates Fleet Management and Motor Vehicle Use.Coordinates Career Services.Advises students and alumni regarding the key areas of career development: Assessing interests, exploring career options, becoming engaged, acquiring work experience, and developing job search skills.Develops, sends notices and communication materials, flyers, brochures, etc. to students, alumni, and other members of EGSC community and external employers.Interacts and works with outside employers and organizations to develop resources for students, alumni, and employers.Coordinates, processes, and communicates the development of new opportunities for students and alumni through job shadowing, internships, cop-ops, clubs, outside employment opportunities, and networking opportunities for students. Organizes Career Fairs.Coordinates workshops, seminars, etc. for Career Services with EGSC CAT's classes and outside organizations; develops and performs coaching sessions for students and alumni.Back-up for Human Resources Coordinator III as assigned.Greets visitors and provides appropriate assistance.Keeps Director informed of any problems or concerns.Performs other duties.Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an app
