Credit Suisse Analyst Investment Banking Advisory – Mid-market M&A #160215 in Switzerland, Switzerland

An exciting position in Investment Banking Advisory, focusing on M&A execution. The person will be involved in mid-market transactions of privately owned companies across EMEA.

Be part of a highly international team enabling strategic dialogue among large entrepreneurs, private equities and strategic investors. In this role you work in close collaboration with the Investment Banking & Capital Markets division and have exposure to senior bankers and various work-streams in M&A transactions.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Support senior bankers on all aspects of executing M&A transactions

  • Collaborate with team members as well as other groups to produce well-argued presentations and detailed analyses

  • Participate in internal and client meetings, taking an increasingly active role

  • Involvement in dealing with clients on detailed, day-to-day aspects of a transaction (telephone, face-to-face)

  • Liaise with client-teams, lawyers, accountants and other counter-parties to coordinate the work-streams and produce transaction and marketing documentation in the context of M&A transactions

  • Conduct industry and company analyses and valuations

  • Bottom-up development of sophisticated financial models in the context of clients’ business plans

Do you have initial full-time work experience at an internationally recognized investment bank, advisory firm, management consulting company or private equity fund with primary focus on M&A?

  • University degree (e.g. finance, economics, accounting)

  • Excellent analytical, modelling and accounting skills

  • Strong theoretical foundations in corporate finance, especially in relation to valuation

  • Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and detail orientation

  • Clear communication, structured approach and exceptional problem solving skills

  • Flexibility and ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Strong motivation to perform at the highest standards and impeccable work ethics

  • Ability to prioritize and work against tight deadlines

  • Fluency in English and German or Italian or French. Additional languages are an advantage (e.g. Spanish, Nordic languages)
