Amazon Account Manager, Betting & Gaming in Sydney, Australia

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Australia's betting & gaming market is one of the largest in the world, and this role works directly with major brands to help them produce new player experiences and drive responsible gaming practices.

We are looking are looking for someone with the ability to dive deep into industry trends, who shows bias for action and willingness to get hands-on, and who possesses a blend of sales and technical skills. You must be adept at influencing senior stakeholders (C-Suite/Board of Directors) and earning trust of technical and line-of-business teams, as well as influencing within AWS.

Prior experience in the Gaming industry is beneficial but not required. What's more important is strong curiosity and the ability to find solutions to problems quickly, strong analytical ability, and excellent written communication.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and execute against a strategic plan that leads to the creation and maintenance of a robust pipeline of value-based opportunities.

  • Analyse metrics and data from your accounts to help evolve your strategy.

  • Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement.

  • Work with partners to manage joint engagement opportunities.

  • Assist customer in identifying use cases for priority adoption of Amazon Web Services as well as best practice implementations.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience

  • 6+ years of business development, partner development, sales or alliances management experience

  • Experience identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals

  • Experience proactively growing customer relationships within an account while expanding their understanding of the customer's business

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience in direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives

  • Experience positioning and selling technology to new customers and new market segments

  • Experience selling AI/ML solutions
