The role of Customer Logistics offers many opportunities to impact the business, collaborating with external customers and internal LEGO teams to define solutions that will enable sales, service, cost, and cash.

Core Responsibilities

The role of a Customer Logistics manager brings value by enabling sales growth, improving overall service to customers, while balancing trade-offs/efficiencies on cash and cost.

The person in the role is expected to identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement initiatives that deliver mutual value between the LEGO Group and our key customers. By doing so, Customer Logistics enables our ambition to be supplier of choice for our customers.

The geographic scope of the role is to serve our Australia and New Zealand markets and will be based in Sydney.

Key responsibilities include:

  • a)Project management: Identify and deliver continuous improvement projects focused on customers, collaborating with internal and external customers, to enable sales growth, improve service levels (improvement in customer service satisfaction score), and optimize cost (improvement in customer cost-to-serve).

  • b)Change management: Manage customer change requests by evaluating trade-offs and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement changes that balance customer needs with operational feasibility.

  • c)Data analysis recommendations: Conduct data analysis to understand the trade-offs in enabling sales while maintaining service levels and cost targets for key customers.

  • d)New customer logistics on-boarding and customer contracting support: Understand customer requirements, on-board them of LEGO delivery service, review and provide input on logistics terms in customer contract to ensure alignment with company standards.

To establish collaborative partnerships internally and externally. The person in the role is expected to work independently collaborating closely with Sales, Operations, and as required, with external customers.

Manage a regional process within the APAC CN Customer Logistics team to ensure governance, capability, and continuous improvement.

Customer Logistics supports the vision of Global Operations in making LEGO the supplier of choice for our customers. The role exists to ensure the operational backbone in the supply chain is connected to the true needs of our LEGO customers in the market and with that, enable supply chain capabilities to deliver the right service.

  • We unlock value for TLG by improving satisfaction on LEGO’s service to customers. Customers in turn reward us with stronger partnership in delivering TLG’s business growth eventually reaching more children to experience LEGO play.

  • The LEGO toy retail landscape in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) is robust, with a strong presence in major retailers like Big-W and K-mart, speciality stores, and dedicated LEGO brand stores, along with strong e-commerce growth. The business has been growing steadily year-to-year and along with that, increasing expectations from customers on how they want to be served.

  • With that, Customer Logistics play an important role in enabling supply chain solutions to support sales growth, improve service, cost, and cash.

  • The person in the role will have the opportunity to work broadly across multi-functional teams in the value chain and be exposed to our global customer logistics network to share and re-apply best practices. The role opens to opportunities for further career advancement within the supply chain organisation.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Experience in CPG, FMCG, Toy, Luxury, Sports & Apparel industries, with a strong background in a similar role.

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong long-term relationship, skilled to connect across varying levels across the organisation.

  • Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and skilled in active listening.

  • Collaboration skills: Strong ability to work collaboratively with diverse, cross-functional, and remote teams across different geographies, cultures, and time zones to enhance service delivery.

  • Critical thinking skills: Strong ability to address challenges and find effective solutions, anticipate issues, navigate ambiguity, and make recommendations.

  • Project management skills: Established success in delivering supply chain projects, proactive in planning action breakthroughs, set timelines, communicate progress, identify and mitigate risks.

  • Customer-centric skills: Exceptional ability to understand customer needs and translate them into actionable business value within the supply chain context, and vice versa.

  • Previous experience using SAP and other advanced features/tools from Microsoft like power BI

  • Experience in Agile project management methodology will be valuable.
