Arc of Onondaga is Looking For YOU!
Our mentors have the privilege of providing 1:1, person centered services to children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities as they attend local camps. In this position, you will be responsible for providing hands-on assistance, instruction and guidance, while supporting children with being able to participate within group recreational settings. This position may be ideal to those that typically may have school breaks and/or summers off (one who works within school system and/or college student).
Position Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
A passion for working with and creating positive, impactful relationships in the lives of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Must exhibit a positive approach that provides encouragement, mentoring and instruction, resulting in effectively achieving and maintaining independence and integration within group recreational settings.
