We are currently accepting applications for a *Licensed Master Plumber *to join our team! We are looking for an energetic, outgoing, team player with knowledge  in plumbing systems ranging from residential, commercial and industrial industries with new construction and service. 

Position Summary: The Plumbing Service Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the plumbing service department. This includes supervising plumbing technicians, the call center manager, and the service inventory control manager, all while ensuring quality service, and maintaining customer satisfaction. The role involves a combination of administrative, technical, fieldwork, and leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities:         Maintains current Master Plumbing license in accordance with governmental/state regulations.

  • Trouble shoot and perform residential plumbing repairs, service, and installation.
  • Analyzes, diagnoses, and resolves customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely, and accurate manner. Identifies potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks.
  • Explains and recommends our plumbing maintenance program to existing and potential customers.      
  • Installs underground storm, sanitary, or water piping systems, extending piping as needed to connect fixtures and plumbing.
  • Reviews blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures. Interprets drawings and specifications to determine layout requirements. Studies building plans and inspect structures to assess material and equipment needs, to establish the sequence of pipe installations, and to plan installation around obstructions such as electrical wiring.
  • Directs helpers engaged in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation of plumbing systems or components, including residential service calls.
  • Ensures company property, vehicles, and tools are being used, maintained, and properly accounted for.
  • Follows standard procedures and process, ensures that the company vehicle is properly stocked, returns defective warranty parts to branch, and orders/replenishes vehicle stock as needed.
  • Represents the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activities.
  • Bid and complete jobs as directed.
  • *Participate in the plumbing on-call schedule, including weekends and after hours *
  • Communicate effectively/professionally with customers and office personnel.
  • Complete work orders and collect payments from customers.
  • Directly supervises the Plumbing department, including New Construction Installers and Service Technicians. Will assist in scheduling work, both residential and commercial.
  •  Manages and develops service staff to include recruiting, hiring, termination, discipline, scheduling, setting work priorities, conducting staff meetings, evaluating performance and directing work assignments to maximize production.
  •  Provides coaching, feedback, and technical and communication training to all subordinates to increase performance.
  • Maintains/Builds strong working relationships with Builders, Subcontractors and Project Managers. 
  • Must be dependable with a positive attitude.
  • Maintains compliance of licensing, permitting, and code requirements.

*Qualifications:  *High school diploma or equivalent with on-the-job and formal classroom training in plumbing work in construction, maintenance, commercial, and residential environments

  • Seven years' experience in plumbing repair, maintenance, and installation in addition to on-the-job training
  • Posses a curre nt Master Plumbing license (Current knowledge of and continuing education in national, state, and local plumbing code regulations)
  • Proficient mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment to perform various plumbing projects.
  • Knowledge of achines and tools used in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, and other structures. 
  • Working proficiency in basic mathematics and standard measurements
  • Proficient at reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting problems with plumbing systems and equipment.
  • Familiar with the HVAC industry is preferred.
  • Must be willing to train plumbers/hvac in technical skills and company procedures.
  • Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed.
  • Ability to stand and walk and to climb ladders and attic stairs and to maneuver in attics, basements, and crawl spaces. Ability to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including but not limited to the following: hot, cold, outdoor, indoor, dry, humid, slippery surfaces, heights, and congested areas.

*Additional Requirements:


  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must reside within 25 miles of company location. 
  • Complete and pass drug screening and background check.

Compensation:

  • Compensation may be negotiated based on experience, certifications, and capabilities.
