Come join our European applications development team! We are looking for an experienced person capable of developing business applications, with a broad interest in IT topics and keen to learn and develop further.
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:
Your role as a PHP developer will see you joining our international development team to deliver new functionality to a suite of business applications, refactoring and improving code, while working with our support team to resolve any issues or bugs in the applications.
Working in our established team and using the Agile framework, you will see projects through their development lifecycle from planning, development, review, testing and release to production. Code should be produced to a high-quality giving consideration to performance and security.
Proven experience working with web services and APIs, knowledge of infrastructure and hands-on experience in SQL server topics (indexing, performance tuning, trace, and data replication management), would be beneficial.
You are quick to understand our IT landscape and business processes and are interested to develop yourself and take the opportunity to learn new skills, tools, and systems. You are a team-player and communicate professionally in English.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Develop business applications primarily in PHP
• Working with Azure services including Devops and hosting
• Participate in IT projects (gather requirements, plan, develop, configure, test)
• Analyze, debug, correct systems problems
• Develop and maintain documentation for your solutions, applications, and interfaces
• Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders
• Willingness for some travel and work outside of business hours
Who You Are:
You utilize systems and technology to stay on track. You partner with others to get work done. You provide timely and helpful information to individuals across the organization.
For This Role, You Will Need:
• 5 years developing business applications with PHP and complementary languages
• Experience with MS SQL or similar
• Knowledge of infrastructure and cloud services
• Good command of both verbal and written English
• Working at College or University degree level
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
• Infrastructure / Applications support experience
• Knowledge of Azure Devops and hosting services
• Experience of delivering applications using the Agile framework
• C# and Angular skills
