We will be looking for you to perform a variety of accounting functions and to contribute to the effectiveness of global operations teams by ensuring that requirements for strategic projects and programs are captured and solutions are delivered to meet the needs of our internal and external customers.

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible to compile, sort, and verify documents (AR Reconciliation, bills, invoices, wires, etc.).

  • You will perform operational functions related to Escheatment and cash applications, including account reconciliation ensuring proper application of funds, research, and resolution of discrepancies.

  • As part of your role, you will assist in the preparation of the backups for Journal Entries and Certifications for GL team, reports, and daily account reconciliations.

  • You need to ensure accurate and complete processing within Service Level Agreements.

  • You will communicate with Stakeholders to find, fix, and Solve queries as well as responsible for escalating issues and follow-up with management as necessary.

  • You need to comply with Western Union Internal policies and applicable regulatory and financial reporting requirements.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, or related. Or equivalent skills are required, with at least 2 years of related experience in Digital or Traditional Banks in Brazil in operations or customer support areas.

  • 1-3 years of experience in foreign exchange product accounting and Brazil payment system accounting

  • Multiple sources reconciliations (processors, banks, FX transactions)

  • Strong knowledge in of MS Office Tools (emphasis on excel)

  • Strong English communication skills 67% - B2 (Minimum).

  • High sense of urgency, proactivity, teamwork, and communication skills.

  • Experience supporting implementation projects.

  • Strong Settlement Knowledge is a plus.
