We are looking for an Software Engineer II to join our SaaS Next Generation Platform team in Tacoma, WA, reporting to the senior manager of Software Engineering. In this role, you will develop, maintain, evaluate, and test software leveraging microservices as the foundation for Infoblox's cloud networking applications. Our organization is extremely data-driven, and technical innovations happen here. You will use cutting-edge technology across all stages of the development lifecycle and work directly with the best of the technical and thought leadership team.

What you'll do:
Join an agile SaaS team to design, develop, and maintain features and iteratively deploy services using Infoblox's cloud-based architecture
Help design and implement components of our Next Generation Platform
Recommend ways to improve system reliability, efficiency, and quality
Collaborate with various cross-functional Product teams
Learn about key trends, especially in technologies and frameworks like Kubernetes, Docker, and ELK/Prometheus
What you'll bring:
5 years of experience preferred, preferably in microservice-based architectures
Proficiency in Java, C++, Golang, or Python
Experience with software design patterns and architecture concepts
Ability to design highly scalable distributed systems using different open-source technologies
Experience in microservices development and container-based software using Docker and other container technologies is a huge plus
Experience with Amazon Web Services such as EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, CloudFormation, etc. is a plus
Knowledge of DNS protocol and general networking concepts
Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments
Experience in Agile methodologies with software development life-cycle experience
Bachelor's degree in CS, CE or EE required; master's degree preferred
