An IT Software Engineer is responsible for systematic, disciplined and quantifiable approach to the development, operations and maintenance of software. They manage product backlogs to drive technical improvements and create efficiencies in operations by implementing scaled and sustainable capabilities.

Your Team

You will be part of the Philippines Sales and Marketing Organization (SMO) based in Manila, with exposure to the regional Data Solutions Software Engineers. In this area, you will get to work with a complementary team of diverse Project Managers, Product Managers, and DevOps Engineers throughout the region, as well as external vendors and agencies to deliver portfolio projects and operations for your area. You will also be an individual contributor to plan and set up the success for the solution within your responsibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with business stakeholders & multi-functional team to identify system requirements and user stories into a robust supportable design of code for the project or application

  • Leads and drives the engineering, quality assurance, and release management of the solutions to meet business and technical requirement

  • Deliver incremental code changes frequently and optimally by demonstrating development and operations practices, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools, and agile methodology

  • Streamline and automate software development lifecycle

  • Continuously improves end-to-end service delivery using automation, new tools and exploring new CI/CD platforms. This may include vendor governance for a Service or CBP on regional or global level or for a small application platform. Ensures operational excellence.

  • Define, build and lead the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) stack for a given IT platform

  • Build mastery of the chosen domain and technologies for the applications that you will lead

Job Qualifications

Information Technology candidates must demonstrate strong leadership in the application of technical mastery to drive business results. We are looking for candidates who possess the following core qualities:

  • Possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.

  • Preferably with 1 to 3 years of proven experience in Azure/ SQL Database Programming; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Demonstrates a balance of business understanding and technical skills. Capable working with the technology hands-on if needed.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to engage with senior leaders on technology decision discussions related to business value and the end-to-end IT lifecycle.

  • Exhibits a passion for IT, technology and innovation, continually takes initiative to update and improve one’s own abilities to stay relevant as IT evolves.

  • Understands the core project management subject area, and can lead and implement one or multiple projects at a time with fiscal discipline and operational excellence.

  • Must be willing to travel to other countries, collaborate with people from different cultures, and work with teams from different time zones.
