The Role
As a Senior Investment Analyst, you will sit within the Sustainable Investments and Portfolio Strategy team that provides support to the Sustainable Investments (SI) and Portfolio Management Group (PMG) within the Global Investments team.
More specifically, the role would entail the following:
Working alongside SI lead analyst and SI content lead to:
Ensure the efficient availability of core climate/sustainability data and analytics to the global LOB
Contribute to the improvement of delegated portfolios from a climate and broader SI perspective
Incorporate new datasets and approaches/methodologies that can enhance WTW’s analytics into SI tools
Undertake SI project work – e.g. climate scenarios, application of CTVaR/CPVaR
Become a SME and contribute internal user support to the SI toolkit developed in Jacobi, including:
Gathering user feedback on the SI toolkit developed in Jacobi and specification of enhancements/improvements
Supporting ongoing testing and data integration efforts
Jacobi and SI data
While majority of data feeds are automated, there remains requirement for someone with SI knowledge to liaise with the Systems team to monitor / reconcile / ensure data is feeding correctly
Jacobi SI and Portfolio related data set-up
Holdings data collected via InvestConnect requires cleansing and mapping – this is ad hoc as required
SI analytics support
Providing support to business users – address SI related queries, SI data, output and use of Jacobi, etc., requiring someone with (or who can develop) SI knowledge
Maintenance of Jacobi SI interface and output
Reporting Tool support
SI content
Incorporation of newly developed datasets any analytics into SI tools, specification and development of new climate/SI analytical tools and reports as required
Research into emerging best practices for data, metrics and reporting and incorporation into climate/SI analytical tools
People Management
Monitor the performance of group members and provide feedback on a regular basis
Complete the performance evaluation of each group member as required under the HR/Talent and Reward system
Encourage colleagues’ engagement and participation in company and team activities and initiatives
Contribute to the development of subject matter expertise within the group
Monitor adherence to office policies and regulations and address non-compliance as appropriate
Project and Resource Management
Ensure timely delivery of reports and other deliverables that meet stakeholder expectations at a minimum
Perform review of reports, ensuring that output and processes adhere to Willis Towers Watson’s excellence standards and procedures
Build strong relationships with stakeholders, manage expectations proactively and anticipate and address issues in a timely and effective manner
Plan and allocate resources to ensure adequate coverage for projects assigned to the group
Ensure processes are documented correctly and completely at all times

The candidates should ideally be able to provide evidence of most/all of the following:

Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook, and an interest in enhancing these skills
Knowledge or background in Investment, or a desire to work in the investment industry, is an advantage
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance or equivalent; with at least five to seven years of relevant work experience
