Must live in Miami or close surrounding area
The Medicaid Housing Administrator (Miami) builds strategic collaborative relationships with state agencies, provider groups, community-based organizations, and state housing entities across the state of Florida. They leverage these relationships, county housing programs, and initiatives to better support the unique needs of our Medicaid members with housing insecurities. The incumbent also works directly with Aetna Better Health of Florida members, community stakeholders, and agencies to address emergent and urgent housing needs.
Responsibilities include:
Develop policies and procedures for supporting member access to Florida permanent supportive housing
In partnership with the health plan and by utilizing the Florida Medicaid contract, establish a strategic plan to include objectives, required reporting, intended outcomes, and results
Serve as Medicaid health plan liaison and cross collaborative partner with Florida state agencies, provider groups, and community-based organizations
Provide training and education to both internal staff and external stakeholders in Florida
Support Care Management & Utilization Management staff, when complex needs are identified, and assistance is needed with connection to services, additional resources, and transition planning
Attend and support health plan rounds
Partner, support, and collaborate with Florida State and local housing authorities
As the Aetna Better Health of Florida Housing Subject Matter Expert, collaborate with the RFP team and assist with providing information for State RFP requests and renewals
Emphasize on reductions in care disparities and increased health equity
In partnership across multiple departments, coordinate the monitoring and tracking of outreach events which align and support community and membership goals
Required Skills:
5 or more years of experience in Medicaid, managed health care
Minimum of (2) years’ experience in assisting the elderly and persons with disabilities to secure accessible, affordable housing through Federal (such as HUD, Shelter Plus Care, SAMHSA, and USDA), as well as local programs
Must be a resident of Florida (Miami or surrounding areas)
Preferred Skills :
Proven communication skills both written and verbal; able to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization from C-Suite executives to front-line staff
Group facilitation/presentation skills that inform and influence internal and external parties
Experience in successfully building, maintaining, and supporting effective relationships across cross-functional teams to achieve goals
Experience in managing project expectations and deadlines
Broad knowledge of community resources including behavioral health and substance use disorder delivery system in Florida
Ability to interpret rules, regulations, and policies and to make decision in accordance with established policies

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$54,300.00 - $119,340.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
