Summary of Responsibilities:
Provides exemplary customer service by processing group disability income insurance claims in a timely and accurate manner.
Principal Responsibilities:
· Manages assigned caseload of long-term disability (LTD) claims.
· Determines whether to suspend, terminate, or pay claims.
· Updates current claims records (inputs data).
· Evaluates claimant eligibility via information received from claimant, attending physician, and employer.
· Follows plans to closure.
· Follows established claim policies and practices to resolve claims and issues.
· Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 1+ years customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications:
· Excellent communications skills
· Ability to prioritize and multitask
· Ability to think abstractly
· Keyboarding skills
