As the Cash Balance Pension Plan Senior Associate, you are responsible for leading and executing the administration of the firm's Cash Balance Pension Plan. Responsibilities include reviewing pension calculations, executing the pension distribution cycle, and overseeing execution of pension cases while meeting service levels and maintaining plan compliance. In addition, you will develop and recommend changes to related processes and systems, lead system testing and ongoing quality assurance, and collaborate with many stakeholders on changes and initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
Review Cash Balance pension plan calculations, distribution packages, and payment setups for participants and beneficiaries
Oversee and manage workflow of cases to ensure fulfillment and retirement plan distributions are completed within the required service levels and support customer experience objectives
Locate data and perform research on moderate to complex pension inquires
Maintain of Cash Balance standard operating procedures and training materials
Develop, review, and sign off on participant communications
Implement and execute ongoing testing and quality control measures for processes and systems; Lead components of system testing working with Technology partners and other stakeholders
Support improvement projects including data quality improvement, technology and automation enhancements, and plan/regulatory changes
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in pension plan administration including calculations, distribution, case management and fulfillment
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and calculation skills combined with strong attention to detail
Models importance of controls, compliance, accuracy and confidentiality in the work
Confident in reviewing and managing large sets of data and managing data quality
Is a quick study, interpreting pension plan documents and applying rules to calculations
Has supervisory experience
Advanced MS Excel skills and related systems - PeopleSoft Pension experience is a plus
