Reports To: Director of Dining Services
Salary: $70,000-$75,000/yr.

Job Summary
As the Executive Chef, you will bring a robust culinary expertise, specifically in contract food service, to oversee all kitchen operations and uphold a safe, sanitary, and high-performing environment. This role is ideal for an innovative and entrepreneurial culinary professional ready to elevate our dining program and exceed client expectations. Your culinary leadership will drive quality, creativity, and efficiency in every dish, making a lasting impact on the dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and modify diverse menus tailored to meet established dietary guidelines, emphasizing quality, creativity, and consistency.
Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff on food preparation, safe handling, and operation of kitchen equipment.
Ensure team members adhere to food safety, sanitation, and company regulations.
Oversee inventory and supply management to align with budgetary guidelines and availability needs, ensuring product availability without overstock.
Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules to ensure kitchen safety, sanitation, and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of three to five years in progressive culinary or kitchen management, preferably within contract food service.
High-volume and institutional cooking experience is essential, as well as hands-on chef experience.
Strong knowledge of catering operations, foodservice trends, and cost-effective, high-quality food production.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with email and internet for efficient communication and operational tasks.
ServSafe certification preferred, with knowledge of health and sanitation standards essential to contract food service.
