Description
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Network Engineer in Tampa, Florida. This role is centered in the computer hardware industry, where the individual will be tasked with optimizing and mapping our enterprise network across 5 locations.
Responsibilities:
• Engage in comprehensive network analysis to understand the current state and identify areas for improvement
• Implement configuration management for Sophos firewalls and ensure optimal performance
• Utilize skills in computer hardware and datacenter operations to optimize network architecture
• Conduct regular maintenance on network switches and switch routers, ensuring smooth network operations
• Oversee the mapping of the enterprise network across various locations, including Tampa, Orlando, Miami, and Jacksonville
• Develop a deep understanding of Sophos and Mellanox technologies to optimize their use in our network
• Proactively identify and resolve any network issues that may arise, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
• Collaborate with the team to develop and implement best practices in network management and security
• Continuously monitor the performance of the network and make recommendations for improvements where necessary
• Leverage expertise in network analysis to make sense of complex network configurations and optimize them for efficiency.
Requirements
• Must hold a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Network Engineering role or similar.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Computer Hardware is essential.
• Experience in Configuration Management is crucial for this role.
• Familiarity with Datacenter operations and management is required.
• Sophos and Mellanox experience is a must.
• Expertise in Switch Routers and Switch Configuration is necessary.
• Prior experience working with Network Switches is essential.
• Must have a solid understanding of Enterprise Network systems.
• Proficiency in Network Analysis is crucial.
• Must possess a strong understanding of Network Architecture.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team is crucial.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously is a must.
• Must be willing to continue learning and adapting to new technologies and trends in the field.
