Citigroup Operational Risk Officer - C13 - TAMPA in Tampa, Florida

Operational Risk Management - Data Risk team consists of experienced professionals who apply subject matter expertise to objectively

evaluate, independently oversee, and constructively challenge first line of defense (1LoD) teams, governance, processes and controls. This

role will leverage subject matter expertise in data-related Operations functions to provide oversight of data risk metrics across businesses and

functions.

The Data Risk Officer will be responsible for identifying, anticipating, challenging, and mitigating risks that could affect business objectives, and minimizing operational risk events and losses in assigned Enterprise Operations entities. This role will be focused on continuous monitoring and control testing of data management metrics.

• Demonstrable track record of identifying, assessing, monitoring and measuring operational risks within a global business.

• Evidence understanding of how risk appetite drives business strategy and how measurement of a return to appetite is assessed.

• Challenge metric design, controls and effectiveness.

• Challenge data program delivery of risk measurement and remediation plans for metrics in breach or warning status.

• Proficiency in analysis of metric performance from a variety of sources to understand metric performance.

• Participate in Enterprise data governance meetings and provide feedback for new and updated standards and processes.

• Work independently to create approaches to solving problems.

• Diffuse conflict and work toward agreement.

• Prioritize high impact potential problems effectively.

• Consider broad implications of decisions.

• Be Innovative in developing new ideas and improving current processes.

• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

The Data Risk Officer will have knowledge of data management, regulatory and operational risk management practices; as well as:

• 6-10 years experience navigating and networking across an enterprise utilizing internal and external resources.

• Business writing experience preferred.

• Demonstrate strong communication and relationship building in a complex data environment.

• Knowledge of data related industry best practices as well operational risk principles and methodologies and tools.

• Understanding of data governance principles.

• Understanding of financial services environment preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree; advanced degree a plus

$103,920.00 - $155,880.00
