OVERVIEW:
One of Aston Carter’s clients is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the team at this time. The Senior Accountant will be a critical member who will support workstreams to advance key accounting objectives in the areas assigned. They will interface heavily with the Regional Accounting Team and other internal teams to ensure integrity with the financial statements and accounting consistency. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the day to day accounting functions by owning transactional accounting within the assigned accounting area for identified partner companies in support of ensuring a complete, accurate, and timely monthly close process. These areas include, but are not limited to:
Cash application/bank reconciliations
Credit card reconciliations
Payroll accounting
Fixed Assets
Prepaids
Perform analytical reviews of a partner income statement, balance sheet and cash flows on a monthly basis
Develop and maintain relationships with regional accounting team; provide outstanding customer service
Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and provide support on accounting-related inquiries
Monitor adherence to internal company policies, procedures, and controls
Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookups, etc.)
3-5 years of progressive GL Accounting Experience
Experience with ERP systems required
Proven analytical abilities (analyzing reports, financial statements, etc.)
Experience overseeing Staff Accountants or being a team lead is preferred
