About Our Team:

The Chief Information Security Office (CISO) is home to deeply talented colleagues that work to ensure the safety of Citi's clients', our revenue, our employees and our proprietary data. We manage information security as one end-to end program – one with a clear mandate and accountability. As a ServiceNow Sr Programmer Analyst (ServiceNow Developer) you will be working within the Cyber Security Engineering and Architecture space, supporting Citi’s Security Response Module (ServiceNow), developing solutions, visualizations and identifying opportunities to automate processes for the Automation and Tooling teams.

This role supports the Cyber Security Operations (CSO) mission and goals. The candidate will be a part of a team of specialists providing application support, developing solutions, visualizations and identifying opportunities to automate processes for the Cyber Security Operations teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Customizing the ServiceNow Security Incident Response application to fit business needs.

  • Writing, modifying, and debugging JavaScript code for ServiceNow rules and scripts.

  • Leading and driving collaboration across CISO teams as a member of the Automation and Tooling team.

  • Implement mechanisms to feed data sources into repositories from multiple sources

  • Support general technology break / fix requests

  • Perform migration activities Dev/UAT/Prod

  • Coordinate Service Catalog options, including two-step checkout, cart controls, and variables

  • Investigate performance issues, learn troubleshooting tools, and use system logs to identify issues

  • Create User Interface customizations for forms, lists and UI actions

  • Implement Core configuration changes to the platform and supporting applications

  • Review system logs for system activity (i.e., Workflow, Configuration, Transaction, Email, Events, and System and Upgrade logs)

  • Configure ServiceNow with different 3rd party integrations using REST and SOAP API calls

  • Create and maintain API and data integration processes between ServiceNow and other services

  • Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas

  • Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users

  • Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement

  • Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality

  • Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems

  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes

  • Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts

  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years relevant experience

  • 2+ years writing code in JavaScript

  • Experienced with ServiceNow development, such as scripting, workflows, and integrations.

  • Basic understanding of security aspects of multiple platforms, OS's, software, network protocols, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Practical experience with agile methodologies/tools

  • Experience providing ServiceNow Architect solutions to support the best practice needed to deliver business requirements

  • Web Development with focus in ServiceNow platform and responsible for ITIL/ITSM System Administrator functions

  • Experience in creating Users, roles, groups and updating the user and group table records

  • Hands on experience in ServiceNow Web App/Platform/SAAS

  • Experience with creating workflows for Service Catalog items in ServiceNow

  • Experienced in User Management to add, update and deactivate users in ServiceNow

  • Experience in Server Script (Business Rules/Script Include) and Server/Client API

  • Experience in loading assets into ServiceNow from third party system using Web Services and Import Sets

  • Experience with either Java or C#

  • Experience writing SQL queries.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of cyber security technical support

  • 3+ years working in a systems development job function.

  • 3+ years of automation solutions and deployment

  • Experience working in a Scrum/Agile framework

  • ServiceNow development and customization according to industry best practicesExperience with Flow Designer - Flows, Subflows, and ActionsServiceNow Service Portal Implementation and Customization; develops Service Portal widgets and capabilities, leverages UI policies, UI actions, client scripts

  • Advanced Knowledge of CMDB, CSDM frameworkIntegrations using scripted REST API's and frameworksServiceNow Certified Application Developer is a plus

  • ServiceNow System Admin Certification is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
