The Sr Payroll Manger-Americas(US/PR/Canada/Brazil/LATAM) is responsible for the overall direction, execution, control, and completion of all payroll frequencies and payrolls in the Americas region. They will ensure the Payroll processing remains consistent with BMS core values, company strategy, commitments, and goals. This role will ensure the team is meeting all fo its SLA and meeting all SOX compliance requirements. This role will be the lead on Payroll Projects and Time Projects for the Americas.

Detailed Position Responsibilities
Build & maintain long-term relationships with customers & key stakeholders.
Work together with vendors to be sure that SLA are being met
Work together with direct reports to develop tactics, strategies, procedures, and workflows for the department's activities to achieve the established objectives and offer quality services to both internal and external customers
Supporting the complex transforming business in a dynamic marketplace
End to end processes and business understanding, including activities of other functions
Manage and document all Local Work Instructions (LWI) and Knowledge Base (KB) information.
Certify systems are established to optimize workflow, meet the needs of the payroll rules as dictated by internal policies and collective bargaining agreement, maximize technical efficiencies, and secure data
Critically review and analyze current practices and identify process improvements leading to best-practice operations
Enforce established payroll related policies and regulations
Automate all aspects of payroll including timesheets, report generation, error and exception reports, payment remittances for various benefits, and general ledger integration
Create and implement training for organization-wide staff on use of new system
Communicate actively with department heads, HR and Finance to ensure proper compliance with internal and external policies and coding from a budgetary perspective
Create project requirement docs and test scripts for payroll and time projects.
Lead testing and implementation of projects.
Lead and mentor the payroll staff
Evaluate business processes on a regular basis
Develop and lead a team that is customer service centric to our employees and business partners
Demonstrate technical expertise on the automated systems and processes in designated areas of responsibility
Prepare periodic metrics reports regarding issues such as department efficiency and volumes
Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel
Plan, organize, coordinate and oversee payroll processing
Proactively develop and maintain technical knowledge in a specialized area(s); remain up-to-date on current trends and best practices
HRA Training when needed
Back up to Payroll Manager Americas to approve and fund Payroll
Back up to Sr Manager Tax to approve off cycles and Sr Manager Projects and Integrations regarding integration issues
Back up to Sr Manager LATAM for approving payroll
Other projects as needed
Desired Experience and Qualifications
Knowledge of various Americas countries Payroll administration processes.
Knowledge of Ireland Payroll a plus
Ability to multi-task
Experience of working in a shared services environment.
Customer service experience
Understanding of HR processes including payroll process, Payroll Interfaces, and Americas payroll and fiscal laws
Strong Knowledge of HRIT and payroll systems like Workday and SAP, specifically ADP GlobalView
Advanced MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel). Must know pivot tables and V lookup and be able to create PowerPoint presentations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Takes ownership of the areas of responsibility and delivers a high quality of work.
Ability to assess and promptly resolve problems.
Can successfully manage client expectations and work/operate well with various personalities/capabilities in cross-functional teams, matrix environment.

College degree preferred
CPP preferred
Minimum 3 years payroll exp in the Americas
Minimum 3 years large project management exp
Minimum 2 years integration experience
