Primary Responsibilities:
Develop the software architecture based on the requirements of the stakeholders or the company.
Create required codes using the most effective tools, applications, and other resources.
Develop user-friendly designs.
Complete documentation of the developed software and run significant tests while adhering to the project timelines.
Reverse engineering existing software application (i.e. documenting something that is already built)
Develop and direct software system validation and testing methods.
Train and mentor the project engineer working with the team.
Working closely with clients, stakeholders and cross-functional departments to communicate project statuses and proposals.
Analyzing data to effectively coordinate the installation of new systems or the modification of existing systems.
Managing the software development lifecycle and monitoring system performance.
Applying mathematics and statistics to problem-solving initiatives.
Applying best practices and standard operating procedures.
Creating innovative solutions to meet Collins technical needs.
Determines end user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition.
Coordinating several projects and complex engineering activities while balancing priorities and schedules.
May develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.
May train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards.

Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or another related field.
5 to 7 years of software engineering or software development experience, preferably in a related field.
Extensive experience with Java, Python, C++ and other programming languages
In-depth understanding of HTML5, CSS3 and CMSs
Experience in Program Management tools and methodologies is a plus
