Project description:
Regulation (EU) 2021/947 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 June 2021 establishing the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument - Global Europe. COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING DECISION of 26.07.2024 on the financing of the annual action plan in favour of the Neighbourhood East Region. Following on from the work and progress achieved through the Statistics Through Eastern Partnership programme, the overall objective of the current programme is to continue to promote evidencebased policymaking and to foster democratic development through improving and enhancing the quality and availability of reliable and comparable statistical data in the Eastern Neighbourhood countries and to increase their dissemination to policy makers, other users and the wider public. Additionally, this action contributes is further preparation of the statistical authorities in Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine as new EU candidate countries for future EU membership by aligning their present methodologies and practice with the statistical acquis and integrating them into the European Statistical System.
INDICATIVE KEY EXPERT PROFILES
Key Expert 1: Team Leader and Official Statistics Expert
Qualifications and skills:
University Degree, preferably completed by post-graduate studies at Master’s or PhD level in economics, statistics or related field.
Written and spoken English at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
Knowledge of Russian will be an asset
General professional experience:
Minimum of 15 years overall experience in project-related management and implementation required
Experience in a management/team leader position or equivalent, in a cooperation project of similar size and complexity required
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in EU cooperation projects
Minimum 5 years of experience working in a national or international statistical institution will be a strong asset
Specific professional experience:
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in official statistics is required
Experience in gender statistics will be an asset
Experience in the ENP East region (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia) and in harmonizing their statistical methodologies between the countries and with the EU will be an asset
