Job Overview:
As a Human Resources Specialist at WestRock you will be responsible for performing professional-level HR related duties working closely with the Human Resources Leader, corporate HR staff, and plant supervisors and managers.
Your focus will be on HR processes, including recruiting & onboarding, learning & development and key metric reporting. The HR Specialist works to ensure positive employee relations, and is also involved in recognition and well-being activities, training, policy implementation and employment law compliance.
We are looking for a self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fluent English, and problem-solving attitude. Analytical skills are a plus!
How you will impact Westrock:
Partner with local HR leader to drive HR initiatives;
Lead local talent acquisition activities, including organizing employer branding initiatives, interviewing and hiring;
Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires;
Generate, analyze, interpret key metrics, and provide reports for senior leadership;
Conduct internal surveys to gather employee feedback and identify areas of improvement;
Support in the design and development of HR policies, procedures and processes;
Contribute innovative ideas to enhance HR team effectiveness and apply lean principles for efficiency.
Our Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience as an HR specialist or advisor;
Fluent in English;
Knowledge of labor legislation;
Self-motivated and proactive;
Strong interpersonal communication skills;
Nice-to-have: ability to design clear and fair [1] company policies
Nice-to-have: analytical skills
