SALARY RANGE: $60,000 -$70,000 per year

WORK LOCATION: Four Peaks Brewing Company – Tempe, AZ

ROLE SUMMARY: The Staff Accountant will prepare financial reports and analyze how the company is performing financially. This position is primarily responsible for facilitating financial activities about accounts payable, receivable, and other accounting-based records.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees accounts payable and receivable operations.

  • Analyzes major accounts and prepares monthly reconciliation of subsidiary accounts to general ledger.

  • Develops and implements record keeping systems, forms, policies, and procedures related to billing, processing payments, and other accounts payable and receivable activities.

  • Develops and pursues collection strategies.

  • Maintains adequate OBEER ERP knowledge and system maintenance.

  • Identifies and resolves problems and inconsistencies and suggests appropriate corrective procedures.

  • Communicates and coordinates accounting policies, practices, and procedures with department and company managers and officials, vendors, reporting agencies, clients, customers, and the public.

  • Reconcile inventory and help to ensure proper inventory control processes as well as uploading counts and reviewing variances on a timely basis.

  • Assists in the month end close for the craft brewery as well as supporting any federal, state, local, or internal audits of company policies, procedures, or transactions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree in a business field, preferably Accounting, or related experience.

  • 2+ years of accounting experience providing information to management.

  • Ability to frequently sit, stoop, kneel or crouch.

  • On occasion the employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • On-time completion of monthly closing, monthly financial reporting to A-B, and inventory reconciliations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including familiarity and proven experience in the areas of advanced formulas and PivotTables is preferred.

  • Experience with QuickBooks and/or OBEER a plus.

  • Must possess excellent communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Order Processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

  • Possesses critical thinking skills and can work independently or in group settings.

  • Proper controls and processes exist and are maintained at local entity.

  • Data entry is accurate with minimal errors.

  • Extensive knowledge of local ERP system and processes.
