Job Title: Temporary Clerk I

Job Description:

We are seeking a temporary Clerk I to assist with basic filing tasks for a duration of 3-5 days at our Tempe HR office. This position is crucial to helping our office catch up on several stacks of paperwork, including corrective actions, job descriptions, ESANs, initial safety walk-through forms, and more. The role is ideal for someone with strong organizational and clerical skills who values confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic filing tasks efficiently and accurately.

  • Organize and file paperwork including corrective actions, job descriptions, ESANs, and initial safety walk-through forms.

  • Assist with pulling terminated I-9 and Voluntary Self-ID forms if HR experience is present.

  • Ensure all documents are sorted and filed in an organized manner.

Requirements:

  • Strong office/clerical skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to alphabetize documents correctly.

  • Knowledge of how to determine the correct destruction date for I-9 forms (preferred but not required).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in HR.

  • Experience with handling and pulling terminated I-9 and Voluntary Self-ID forms.

  • Understanding of document retention and destruction policies.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Anticipated Length of Assignment:

  • Estimated 3-5 days, focused on filing only.

Hourly Rate:

  • $20 - $22
