Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist skilled mechanics on major maintenance or construction projects.
- Repair/install plumbing and fixtures.
- Remodel existing structures.
- Paint new and existing structures.
- Perform general maintenance of electrical systems.
- Make floor, wall and ceiling repairs to structures.
- Unclog and repair sewers.
- Execute service calls of general maintenance.
- Drive vehicle between various locations of work.
- Respond to off-duty emergency maintenance problems at all CTHC properties.
- May have to be on-call after hours.
- Other duties as required
Education/Skills
- Able to operate mechanical hand and power tools such as table saws, drills, skill saws, sanders, auger machines, pick-up trucks with trailers, and other miscellaneous equipment.
- Must have general knowledge of all basic maintenance to include electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, heating and air conditioning (below the level of a skilled mechanic).
Work week: Monday - Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. - 12 noon.
