GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Performs routine (journey-level) managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of an agencys business function, division, or department. Work involves establishing goals and objectives; developing guidelines, procedures, and policies; developing schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving established goals; coordinating and evaluating business function, division, or department activities; developing and evaluating budget requests; and monitoring budget expenditures. Supervises the work of others. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Central Counties Services incorporates principles of trauma-informed care, which includes cultural sensitivity, in all areas of service delivery. All job descriptions include the responsibility to learn about and implement trauma-informed practices within the scope of work for the position.
Manages day-to-day activities of the Cameron and Rockdale clinic sites and community based jail diversion activities.
Develops and approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals
Evaluates budget requests, monitors budget expenditures, and makes adjustments as necessary.
Provides input in the development of new policies and procedures and monitors compliance with policies and procedures.
Provides technical expertise and guidance regarding questions related to the department.
Identifies areas of needed change and makes recommendations to improve operations.
Prepares and submits management and productivity reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
May assist in the development of budgets for a business function, division, grants or department.
