\$2000.00 SIGN ON BONUS**
The CDL- A Delivery Driver position involves supporting the needs of
Hugg & Hall by delivering equipment via a commercial vehicle in a safe,
efficient, and professional manner. The CDL-A Delivery Driver will be
delivering equipment to customer locations, job sites, construction
sites, neighborhoods, businesses, and other Hugg & Hall locations. Our
drivers are safe, professional, and courteous. Our drivers work locally
and are home every night. Other duties include rotating on-call
weekends, off hours of moving equipment to sites, and other duties at
each Hugg & Hall branch.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 0630am-430pm
Must be available to work rotating on-call weekends
Essential Job Duties:
Maintains Truck and Trailer
- Performing pre-inspections daily
- Informing supervisor of any needed repairs
- Turning in daily inspections and duty sheets
- Cleaning truck and trailer inside and out at least once a week
- Turning in all receipts for reimbursement, if applicable
- Having safety triangles, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit
readily available
- Informing supervisor of needed general PM service on a regular basis
- Making sure all chains and binders are kept secure on truck and
trailer
- Inspecting chains and binders for wear and replacing if necessary
- Making sure all debris is cleaned from trailer
- Maintaining good cable on trailer winches and making sure remote is
operational
- Checking for stress cracks and breaks on trailers as well as leaks
on hydraulics

Picks up and Delivers Equipment
- Checking rental equipment fuel and making sure it is full when it
leaves rental yard
- Noting any physical / tire damage on rental equipment
- Reporting any damages or malfunctions upon return to yard
- Having all paperwork for rental before leaving the yard
- Having paperwork signed and dated with hour meter reading
- Making sure all new sales units have proper paperwork and obtaining
signature upon delivery
- Watching for overhead obstacles when loading / unloading equipment
- Making sure load is secured and chocked if needed
- Making sure load weight is disbursed over axles properly
- Checking weight on quantity hauls to make sure weight is legal
- Having proper permits for equipment that requires them
- Conducting loading and unloading procedures in a safe and productive
manner
- Reports any and all accidents involving driver or equipment to
supervisor
Other Duties:\
Maintains Equipment in Yard
- Parking returned equipment in designated area
- Putting new and used equipment in prospective areas
- Putting empty LP bottles in rack by propane tank
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a
consistent state of alertness and safe manner
Required Skills/Experience:
Valid CDL-Class A drivers license, no equipment restrictions
Minimum 21 years of age
2 years of verifiable driving experience
Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card
Safe driving record
Working knowledge and understanding of Motor Carrier Safety
Regulations/DOT Guidelines
Ability to work rotating on-call weekends\

Ability to secure loads safely and securely
Abili y to operate equipment
Ability to obtain forklift certification
Confortable operating a truck with Lytx DriveCam installed
