Summary About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. RRAD is near the corners of 4 states - Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. The depot's enormous maintenance mission includes the repair, rebuild, overhaul and conversion of tactical wheeled vehicles. Responsibilities Serve as the Emergency Operations Center Specialist in the Red River Army Depot's Emergency Operations Center. Responsible for planning, readiness and execution of assigned Emergency Operations Center functions during emergency operations. Plan, initiate and coordinate administration of the Emergency Operations Center during civil disasters, weather emergencies, security emergencies and production related contingency operations. Plan and execute specified emergency functions during operations and exercises. Ensure that Emergency Operations Center has proper supplies for daily operations and assists the Emergency Operations Center Specialist with equipment accountability. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Assisting in the development of emergency operational plans; 2) Providing assistance with the execution of the emergency operating procedures; and 3) Performing administrative tasks such as preparing reports, maintaining files, etc. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
