Key Accountabilities:
In collaboration with Saint-Gobain EHS teams experts, develop the necessary project safety systems, procedures, and controls to ensure a safe work environment and compliance to all, OSHA applicable regulations, as well as Saint-Gobain Group and CertainTeed Roofing EHS standards with the objective to achieve zero accidents.
The Senior Project manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the completion of specific projects for CertainTeed Roofing while ensuring these projects are completed safely, on time, on budget, and within scope.
Follows the Saint-Gobain TIP (Technology and Industrial Performance) Project Execution Manual (PEM) delivering assigned projects from Step 0 to Step 7 of PEM.
Ensure all project tasks are undertaken in line with stated company policies and procedures, including but not limited to: Project Execution Manual, Capex Manual, Purchasing Policies, and Loss Prevention Manual
Ensure all project members (Engineering, Operations, WCM, Purchasing, R&D, Supply Chain and Product Management) work as a cohesive and effective project team.
Leadership, Communication and Working Relationship
Internal:
Liaise with the assigned project sponsor from the business (Business project manager, Plant Manager, Product Manager, etc.) to establish project needs and define how business requirements will be met.
Under the direction of the Project Management Office Manager, report and present to Director of Engineering and Business Steering Committee for the projects raising any concerns or issues that require business attention.
External:
Suppliers and contractors (in close collaboration with purchasing) to obtain and negotiate quotes for the necessary project work while ensuring the scope and execution meets all expectations.
Represent the Company as necessary in front of local authorities in permitting and incentive processes.
Conflict management of all the coordination of all parties, finding the correct balance to move forward
In collaboration with HR and Talent Acquisition, Co-ordinate the recruitment of the local project team.
NOTE: This role is a work from home/remote, however the individual will be required to go to-Bryan, TX-frequently for a big greenfield project that is currently going on. Ideal candidate will need to be in a commutable distance to Bryan, TX.
Provides project management, guidance, methodology & leadership to capital projects with a budget scope above $25M. Manage projects to achieve a timely completion with the desired performance criteria to the agreed budget and ensure group EHS standards met at every stage of the project.
Travel via air and rental car to support the plants, events, and corporate meetings (Up to 75%)

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred. Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering degree will also be considered with the right experience.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as project manager on large/medium size projects
10 years of experience in large construction greenfield or brownfield projects
Civil experience and steel erection experience is a must
Project Management qualification (or working towards)
Site management experience on multiple projects, as project manager.
Proven track record working with project management methodology
Ability to influence key senior stakeholders in the business
Understands cultural differences and able to adapt behavior to influence, engage with and motivate cross cultural teams.
Technical Knowledge
Core
Strong communication skills, be able to convey messages to clients and team members
Comprehensive knowledge of Saint Gobain and CertainTeed Roofing safety management system and standards.
Ability and motivation to quickly learn and apply working knowledge of the Saint Gobain TIP Project Execution Manual and supporting tools/documents– Develop necessary level of knowledge to train other members of the team as required
