What you will be doing

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review dispensary/pharmacy operations for compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Under close supervision of the Clinical Practice Consultant, the Pharmacy Technician will assist the Clinical Practice Consultant remotely and during onsite practice visits. They will assist in reviewing operational processes and reporting in the practice. They will serve as a subject matter expert for the practice.
  • Assist in coordinating the activities of dispensary/pharmacy employees with clinic staff to improve efficiencies, capture, and patient satisfaction.
  • Review operational activities and make recommendations to optimize dispensary/pharmacy processes
  • Review proper billing and reconciliation processes within QS1
  • Review proper procedures for processing and adjudicating a claim in QS1
  • Actively identifies and addresses customer needs and issues, determines appropriate support to ensure issue resolution.
  • Review QS1 reports with dispensary personnel, identify and address areas for improvement
  • Use available reports and tools to review dispensary/pharmacy performance and works with staff to develop action plan to improve performance (1. Capture Rate, 2. Prior Authorization Process, 3. Patient Access)
  • Coordinates with SIDW to ensure efficient and timely credentialing process for new sites
  • Effectively communicates customer needs with Clinical Practice Consultant and pharmacy director.
  • Reviews CMS FWA compliance for each customer
  • Assist the Clinical Practice Consultant team with communicating the SON contract portfolio with all customers
  • Performs related duties as assigned

What your background should look like

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of seven (7) years directly related and progressively responsible experience. Must be certified (CPhT) and registered with a state and national technical certification organization and in good standing.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician
  • Experience using QS1
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under time and volume constraints
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to resolve customer issues quickly and creatively in order to improve customer satisfaction
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical products, services and drug interactions
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Good analytical skills
  • Job requires minimum of 50% travel

$70,400 - 100,760

This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
