We are currently looking for 3 Development Engineers of various seniority levels to join our R&D department in Sundsvall / Timrå / Birsta.

AsMechanical Development Engineerat Permobil, you will collaborate closely with Test Engineers, Project Managers, and fellow engineers in cross-functional projects. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and documenting user-friendly products of the highest quality for production and assembly. You will contribute to the creation of new products, as well as the improvement and maintenance of existing ones, all with a user-centered mindset.

In this role, you will also be instrumental in ensuring that our products meet technical requirements traceable to user needs and that they perform as intended, adhering to both internal and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative technical solutions and conduct concept studies for existing and future products,

  • Incorporate latent user needs into product solutions and prioritize user satisfaction,

  • Document development work according to our rigorous quality processes,

  • Depending on your seniority, lead and mentor other development engineers,

    Skills and Qualifications

  • University degree (Master's or Bachelor's) in mechanical engineering. Preferably a few years of working experience or more,

  • Proficiency in PDM, 3D CAD, and drawings (SolidWorks or similar),

  • Experience of modular product design, requirements management and risk analysis,

  • Knowledge of materials, surface treatments, and manufacturing methods,

  • Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English,

  • Experience in the medical device industry or automotive industry is a plus, as well as experience of product modularization including modularization software Palma, and agile working methods including software Jira.
