We are now looking for Head of Operational Excellence & Value Engineering at Permobil. This is an exceptional opportunity to be the driving force behind our mission to enhance the lives of users worldwide.
As the Head of Operational Excellence & Value Engineering at Permobil, you will play a critical role in optimizing processes, reducing costs, and enhancing the overall value of projects and products while having our users in mind.
You have a team of 5 highly skilled professionals consisting of Cost Engineers, Project Managers, a Product Data Manager, and an Operational Excellence Manager. The team is based in Timrå, Sundsvall.
You will report to the Executive Vice President of R&D, you will be an integral part of the Global R&D management team. The role is cross-functional, and you will interact daily with R&D, IT, sourcing, our market regions in EMEA, APAC and Americas as well as other internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Managing, guiding, and setting objectives for the team, ensuring each project is planned, executed, and delivered to meet scope and timelines.
Talent Development: Mentoring and nurturing team members, providing regular performance feedback, and identifying opportunities for professional growth.
Budget Oversight:Managing the team's budget, including resource allocation and expense tracking, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
Value Engineering:Drive VE workshops, follow-up on decided VE initiatives and track outcome. Drive Value Engineering Steering Committee meetings.
Cost Analysis:Do cost analysis and value stream analysis of own and competitor products.
Operational Excellence:Support and drive change in ways of working within the global R&D organization. This includes systems, processes, lessons learned, best practice and continuous improvement.
Product Data:Lead global R&D towards a more efficient Product Master Data Management.
Sustainability: Develop and maintain R&D way of working to reduce our environmental impact.

Strong commercial acumen
Your qualifications
You have an MSc degree in Engineering.
Minimum 7 years of experience in multinational company and in B2B environment, international and matrix organizations, preferably from similar positions.
You are fluent in written and spoken English.
