What We Are Looking For
Are you bold and think outside the box? Panduit Ventures, the corporate
entrepreneurship group of Panduit, is expanding the team with a Business
Development Manager. In this exciting role, in collaboration with your
colleagues, you will conceive, develop, and propose new product and
go-to market ideas. You are responsible for managing the process of
incubating new products that generate significant value. You will manage
minimally viable solutions, market experiments, and product pivots. You
will be an internal entrepreneur that wears many hats and drives
results. This role has visibility at the executive levels of the
company.
Your first project is to lead the launch of a new power solution that\'s
functionally superior to competitive solutions. Other projects may
include connectivity, wireless, IoT, electrical safety or others
related.
What You Will Do
- Create and propose compelling strategic business plans to executive
leadership
- Execute business plans, including managing development and
incubation efforts and relationships with partners and potentially
startups
- Collaborate with marketing to create effective promotions that
increase revenue thru channel partners
- Proactively develop new channels, ensures long-term optimization of
channel mix by geography, product groups and market segments
- Own and evangelizes the value prop to targets by creating an
implementation strategy
- Develop market activation enablement tools thru messaging, marketing
and content internally and externally, including sales and customers
to meet offering objectives
- Gather data that supports segmentation strategy
- Identify gaps in products and advocates solutions
- Via voice-of-customer, evaluate needs, behaviors and pain points of
target customer personas (End User, SI, Contractor, Distributor...)
and assesses competitors
- Interact cross functionally with Sales, Product Management,
Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, IT, Finance, HR and other
functions to evangelize and successfully drive strategic intent into
target market; via select partners and routes to market
What You Will Bring
- Required Degree: Undergraduate degree in either engineering,
business administration, finance or marketing
- Preferred Degree: MBA strongly preferred
- Years of Experience: 5-7 years
- Preferred knowledge of power systems and project management skills
- Bold thinker with entrepreneurial spirit
