【About Capacity Planning Manager】

Amazon Logistics, Last Mile team seeks a Capacity Planning Manager to support capacity planning for our Delivery Station launch program.

Key job responsibilities

  • Owning the weekly cadence for the generation and accuracy of capacity plans to make sure the organization is well prepared for the future

  • Dive deep into the process to identify areas of improvement and drive programs to increase accuracy and quality

  • Work cross-functionally to ensure that decisions are made and action-ed which will allow our operations to run as effectively as possible

  • Challenge the unknown and drive improvement into key areas of our business by driving inventive and simplified solutions

  • Drive solution designs for end to end capacity building and have a long term vision leading the program towards meeting yearly and quarterly goals

  • Work across multiple teams building capacity plans for new station launches through the ramp period, support end to end monitoring of volume flow and driving network design and execution teams to ensure that volume and recruiting targets are met, participate in the roll-out of global best practice financial models for labor planning, as well as monitor plan vs actual and adjusting benchmark productivity assumptions for all labor planning on the road

A day in the life

  • As a capacity planning manager (CPM) you will be the owner of weekly capacity plans generated using inputs from multiple teams

  • A CPM leads discussions with all channel stakeholders to optimize capacity across the network and align on capacity inputs

  • A CPM, drives discussions with station teams to understand on ground reality and use them back into the planning cycle to build the right capacity

  • A CPM leads the process setup and RnR discussions with all stakeholders to setup the right RACI between the teams

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • 2+ years of supply chain experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Business Level English

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

  • Excited about working in a diverse group and contributing to an inclusive culture
