POSITION SUMMARY

Ÿ Drive Medical Affairs and cross-functional project, strategy planning and executional oversight of project activities

Ÿ Execute timeline, budget, and risk management in the project team

Ÿ Ensure the project management in alignment with the established organizational objectives

Ø Project planning management in Medical Affairs or cross-functional projects

 ・ Lead to build the Japan Medical plan in collaboration with global teams and other stakeholders from project management perspective

 ・ Flexibly and proactively lead change management of strategy and focused priorities when situation changes

 ・ Lead the project team to obtain the endorsement from governance body and appropriate advisory body (if required) in timely manner

Ø Project executional oversight in Medical Affairs and cross functional projects

 ・ Accountable for Medical Affairs project execution to meet with aligned goals and objectives as a project manager of project team

 ・ Appropriately escalate to respective stakeholders (as needed), if critical deviation of plan or critical risks are found to promptly solve the issue

Ø Project Timeline management

・ Develop an appropriate project timeline on the IT system considering the strategy and plan of the project

・ Oversee the project status through tracking milestones and flag up any critical delay for mitigation purposes

Ø Project Issue /risk management  

  ・Develop and maintain issue / risk management plans including solution plans

  ・ Upon being alerted of impending issue / risk, design a recovery plan

   ・Facilitate Lessons & Learned exercise in the team at key stage gates

Ø Project Budget Management 

      ・Manage, review, and challenge the project budget plan (single year budget plan & multiple years of the cost to launch)

        ・ Track the project related expense and manage updates when required

Ø Communication and collaboration

        ・Facilitate and coordinate the core MAF project planning discussion to make the team move toward project’s goal

Ÿ Provide project leadership with a subject matter expert in a cross divisional/country project

EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

The role involves extensive interactions with :

  • Medical affairs members in all solid tumor department at Johnson & Johnson Japan

  • MAF leadership teams

  • Sales and Marketing leaders in JPKK

  • R&D, PV, PMS and Regulatory Affairs leaders in JPKK

Qualifications

RELATED EXPERIENCE :

  • Work experience of at least 5 years in MA, R&D, or MKT of pharmaceutical industry.

  • Work experience in oncology is preferred.

  • Work experience of at least 3 years in project management and/or team leadership, functional line management in one or more of the Pharmaceutical MA, R&D, or MKT functions

  • Deep understanding of local regulatory policy and industry’s code of practice related to drug registration, pharmaceutical promotion and clinical study is preferred

  • Understanding on operations and execution of clinical studies is preferred.

  6. Strong analytical skills with high IT literacy in Excel, Power Points, other database

Preferred

  • Professional project management certification and/or diploma (PMP)

  • Professional business management certification and/or diploma
