Position Overview

We are looking for a trusted finance business partner to join Autodesk’s Worldwide Sales Finance team.

The Senior FBP APAC Named Accounts Lead is a critical member of the Global Named Accounts Finance leadership team, reporting directly to the Senior Finance Director of Global Named Accounts and managing an FBP located in the region.

The position will collaborate closely with the Vice President, APAC Named Accounts Sales to drive revenue growth with our largest, enterprise customers headquartered in APAC, monitoring business results and making recommendations on business and financial decisions.

This finance business partner will have frequent interactions and collaborate with the local sales teams, cross-functional deal teams and finance teams and enable optimal informed business decisions through strong, effective analysis and key business insights. The candidate must demonstrate independence, excellence and integrity in decision making and business judgment. A strong knowledge of information systems, financial planning, accounting, strategic planning, risk assessment and business development is required, preferably in a software company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the top-line financial annual and multi-year planning for APAC Named Accounts, across billings, annualized contract value (ACV), revenue, and token consumptions, setting targets that drive performance, monitoring financial results in accordance with strategic business initiatives.

  • Manage the weekly/bi-weekly forecasting process for all top-line metrics, including forecast calls, ensuring they are timely and reliable.

  • Advise business leaders, primarily the regional VP and their staff, on business and financial decisions.

  • Manage deals from forecasting, to deal structuring and review (revenue recognition and risk management) to the Deal Review Board and to booking and reporting, either directly or with the support of assigned resources.

  • Manage and monitor the deal discount approval process and analyze results.

  • Support sales and their pipeline management through Salesforce.com.

  • Drive ad-hoc financial analyses and models to inform and support recommendations and business cases.

  • Participate in the setting of sales compensation plans and quota setting. Liaise effectively with the Global Commission Office to ensure timely and accurate administration and payments of commissions and ensure accurate accruals are in place on a quarterly basis.

  • Manage operating expenses of the APAC Named Accounts organizations. Ensure we operate within approved spending levels and drive productivity improvements throughout the organization.

  • Establish an effective relationship with the Financial Analyst organization to ensure support from that team is efficient, effective, and timely.

  • Establish relationships with other groups such as Sales Ops deal desk, Legal, Revenue Accounting, Tax, etc., to support the Sales Teams.

  • Reinforce internal controls with particular emphasis on the training and communication of revenue recognition policies and government engagement policy.

  • Ensure compliance with sales contracting, discounting, and revenue recognition policies and processes, as well as all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

  • Ensure optimal commercial success for Autodesk, reviewing deals as a member of the Deal Review board.

  • Drive efficient, standardized systems and processes, leverage worldwide best practices.

  • Act as a fiduciary in the best interest of the company, free of conflicts of interest and with objectivity, integrity, and truthfulness.

  • Monitor the effectiveness of Finance policies, practices, and processes to determine efficiency and effectiveness. Recommend improvements to achieve and deliver improved results. Implement and follow standards and policies as defined by corporate and division senior management; escalate exceptions or questionable practices to direct manager or senior management staff.

  • May join, lead, or sponsor cross-industry or cross-geography projects within Finance, especially aimed at streamlining and/or improving processes and systems.

  • May support, on an ad hoc basis, other global sales organizations across all geographies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. MBA/CPA preferred.

  • Candidate needs to be fluent in English and ready to work in a multinational environment. Knowledge of Japanese is a strong plus.

  • Candidate should have 10+ years financial experience, Prior experience in a technology/software/SaaS company is a plus.

  • Candidate must be flexible, self-directed and able to work in a "hands on" environment.

  • Individual must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, be highly motivated and organized, and able to work within specific deadlines.

  • Articulate and concise with strong communication skills.

  • Ability to adapt to a complex and changing environment.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and environment and manage tight deadlines.

  • Ambitious and ability to learn quickly

  • Experienced manager who manages with empathy and has a passion for people development.

  • Strong understanding of the finance functional areas, including revenue accounting, tax, and compliance.

  • Excellent business judgment and financial aptitude.

  • Experience with forecasting and financial analysis.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and PowerBI skill as a plus.

  • Hands on experience with financial software (e.g. Anaplan, Business Objects, Qlikview, SAP, etc).
