Job Title: Service Manager

Job Description

As a Service Manager, you will oversee the service department staff, managing billable hours, invoicing, and technician pay on a weekly basis. You will develop schedules to maximize the utilization of service trucks on the road, enhancing customer fleet services. This role involves scheduling jobs, dispatching technicians based on their skills or training needs, and ensuring all service bulletins are reviewed and familiar to all technicians. You will identify technician training needs and work closely with leadership and the Parts Manager to ensure service trucks and on-call technicians maintain optimal vehicle conditions. Additionally, you will monitor the safety of company vehicles, manage shop tool storage, maintain shop cleanliness, and handle all shop discipline. Your responsibilities also include directly fixing and repairing trucks and semis, interacting with customers to resolve issues, and generating new shop work for mechanics.

Work Environment

Full Service Commercial Service Shop for vehicles, operating on 1st shift from 7 AM to 5 PM. Expect to work 40-50 hours a week. Payment is competitive and negotiable based on experience, with hourly pay during the contract period and conversion to salary post-hire.
